The Tenerife Arts Space (TEA) is housing an exhibition by Tenerife-born artist Óscar Domínguez. Under the title La conquista del mundo por la imagen (The Conquest of the World by Image), the exhibition gathers more than seventy works by Domínguez, who was one of the leading figures of the avant-garde movement in the twentieth century.
In his portraits, Domínguez explores new avenues in the representation of reality, broadening the horizons of images and adding an unexpected load of dream and vision, like a sudden stroke of chance. Domínguez’s paintings, drawings and objects are outlets for the artist’s imagination, targeting all kinds of moral prejudice.
