Tenerife has been welcoming tourists for centuries, from pirates and battleships to explorers and adventurers, on into the present day, where people flock from all over the world, each looking for their own brand of fun.
To begin with, Tenerife is a fascinating place to explore, with its volcanoes, farms, villages and beaches, it’s a place of outstanding natural beauty.
For the outdoor enthusiast, there is no end to the amount of activities on offer, especially watersports. You’ll find kite surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, canoeing, fishing…. Whatever you’re into, just ask. Somebody somewhere has the equipment you need and the ideal place for your favourite activity.
There are a number of theme parks in the area too. Since 1972 Loro Parque, in Puerto de la Cruz, has attracted over 40 million visitors. A sure sign it’s worth a visit, with its spectacular tropical and sub-tropical gardens, its zoo and its aqua show, which includes sea lions, orca, and dolphins. Since 1994, Loro Parque has been focussed on the protection, conservation and recovery of endangered species.
For a more active and – let’s be honest - wet experience, look no further than Siam Park. This quirky Asian themed park offers the ultimate in splash-tastic entertainment for all the family. Somebody described Siam Park as ‘One of the best water parks in the world’ and, whoever he was, none of our guests have contradicted him!
Another activity our guests never tire of is Dolphin watching. You can take a 2-hour boat trip from the marina at the bottom of the hill.
