The celebration begins now. Santiago del Teide is ready for a new edition of its much-awaited Carnival, and at Royal Sun Resort we are proud to host a very special opening event.

✨ Today, our hotel hosts the Official Presentation Gala of the Santiago del Teide Carnival Queens 2026, marking the true beginning of this vibrant celebration and turning our facilities into the perfect stage to launch the festivities.

This year’s carnival is inspired by “Los Gigantes”, a theme that pays tribute to the breathtaking natural surroundings and one of Tenerife’s most iconic landscapes.

The municipality’s official programme begins on February 26th with the Adult Queen Gala, followed by several days of events for all ages:

February 27th – Senior Queen Gala

February 28th – Children’s Queen Gala

March 2nd – Photography Exhibition

March 3rd – Choreographic Festival

March 4th – “Murgas” Gathering

March 5th – Drag Queen Gala

March 6th – Sardine Funeral (traditional closing parade)

March 7th – Daytime Carnival

March 8th – Closing Festival
